McDonald’s has set an ambition to become a Global Indirect Sourcing and Procurement leader. To make this happen, we are standing up a new Global Indirect Sourcing and Procurement Organization (IS&P). This organization will help McDonald’s better leverage our scale and unlock sustainable value for our company and communities. We are transforming our Indirect Sourcing and Procurement capabilities, processes, solutions, and ways of working to create One McDonald’s Way of buying Indirect goods and services responsibly.
Duties
This role presents an exciting opportunity to support the ongoing transformation of Indirect Sourcing & Procurement (IS&P) through high‑quality, actionable analytics. The Specialist, Procurement Operations – Reporting & Spend Analytics plays a critical execution role in designing, building, and sustaining spend and category‑level dashboards that enable informed decision‑making across IS&P.
Reporting to the Manager, Procurement Data & Insights, this role is responsible for day‑to‑day reporting operations, including data preparation, dashboard development, validation, and ongoing maintenance. The Specialist ensures procurement insights are accurate, consistent, timely, and decision‑oriented, serving as a trusted analytics practitioner for Procurement Operations and Sourcing stakeholders.
The Specialist acts as a subject‑matter expert in procurement reporting, translating business and category requirements into clear visualizations, structured datasets, and recurring insights that support sourcing strategies, compliance monitoring, and operational performance tracking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain, and enhance spend analytics and category dashboards across Indirect procurement, including supplier, category, region, and compliance views.
- Perform hands‑on data cleansing, enrichment, normalization, and categorization to ensure analytical readiness of procurement data.
- Translate reporting requirements from Procurement Operations and Sourcing teams into well‑defined dashboards, scorecards, and standard reports.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reconciliation across reporting outputs, partnering with upstream system and process owners as needed.
- Support recurring and ad‑hoc analytics requests related to spend visibility, sourcing performance, contract compliance, and operational KPIs.
- Develop clear narratives and commentary to accompany dashboards, highlighting trends, variances, risks, and opportunities.
- Proactively identify opportunities to standardize, automate, and simplify reporting processes, improving efficiency and usability.
- Adhere to established data governance, security, and access control standards, without owning enterprise data definitions or policies.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner closely with Procurement Operations, Strategic Sourcing, Compliance, Finance, and Technology teams to ensure analytics solutions align with business needs and priorities.
- Act as a bridge between business users and analytics platforms, ensuring reporting solutions are practical, usable, and adoption‑focused.
- Support audit, compliance, and leadership requests by providing reliable, well‑structured procurement insights.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree required. 2-4+ years of experience in procurement reporting, spend analytics, procurement operations, finance, or related functions, including experience guiding others.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret and communicate data insights to diverse audiences. Experience working with reporting tools, dashboards, and large data sets.
